Peter Brandon Hanshi wishes to announce that SA Goju Kai has just won a legal battle regarding the Goju Fist, he would really like to spread the news re the fantastic outcome:

The left hand of Miyagi Sensei was sketched and made the symbol of Goju Kai Karate by the founder of Goju Kai,Gogen Yamaguchi Kaiso in 1947,he in return gave the rights to the fist mark to Goshi Yamaguchi, his son which is currently the president of Goju Kai world wide.

Certain Organizations across South Africa have been using the fist mark without our authorization,this has come to an abrupt end ,the honorable Mr. Justice van Staden delivered judgment in favour of our assertion of our exclusive rights of the fist mark within the Republic of South Africa the judgment was handed down on the 30th of May 2011 in the high court of Cape Town.

In the words of Peter Brandon Hanshi "Goju Kai is a matter of pride" Peter Brandon and his son Frank Brandon single handedly fought the case along side there very passionate legal team headed up by Chris Van Zyl over a year and a half to make sure that the rights of our beloved emblem stays with every man , woman and child belonging to this age old traditional style we call Goju Kai.
